Skye Camanachd Introduce “No Train – No Play” Policy | |
09 January 2014 Skye Camanachd have introduced a first team “No Train – No Play” policy ahead of the start of the 2014 shinty season. The club are determined to ensure that they use the next couple of years to build a team capable of competing in the higher tiers of shinty. All Skye Camanachd players wishing to play first team shinty next season must attend the weekly training sessions led by John MacLeod and David Pringle. Any player who has a valid reason for not attending any training session should either contact John MacLeod or David Pringle. This includes any players carrying an injury. The club has committed a significant amount of money to hire the Portree High School all-weather pitch and facilities and the weekly training sessions will be as follows until further notice:
Each player should bring £2 to each session as a contribution towards the costs. The 2014 shinty season provides the opportunity for Skye Camanachd to build a committed squad capable of playing in the higher divisions and the club sees the introduction of a first team “No Train – No Play” policy as being integral to their future plans. |
