Skye Camanachd Draw Glenurquhart In 2014 Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Semi-Finals | |
07 July 2014 Skye Camanachd will take on Glenurquhart for a place in the 2014 Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final at An Aird, Fort William on Saturday 16 August 2014. The draw was made by Maggie Cunningham, Chair of MG Alba and Camanachd Association President Archie Robertson at Eilan Donan Castle on Monday 7 July 2014. Skye Camanachd met Orion Group Premiership side Glenurquhart in this seasons RBS MacTavish Cup first round. Glenurquhart took the honours that day when an extra-time goal from James MacPherson gave them a 1-0 win. Glenurquhart went on to reach the RBS MacTavish Cup Final before eventually losing out to Lovat. Skye last appeared in the semi-final stage in 2000 when they lost out to Kyles Athletic at Ballachulish. Glenurquhart’s last four appearance was in 1994 although they have more recently won the Artemis Macaulay Cup and appeared in the last two RBS MacTavish Cup Finals. The full draw is: Kingussie v Fort William – Saturday 9 August 2014 Skye Camanachd v Glenurquhart – Saturday 16 August 2014 Both semi-final ties will be played at An Aird, Fort William and both will be shown live on BBC Alba with a 4.05pm throw up. The Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final will take place at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 13 September 2014. |
