Shinty Super Saturday For Skye Camanachd Stalwart | |
06 April 2014 Skye Camanachd stalwart John Angus Morrison is well known for his dedication to the sport of shinty. However, even by his standards, the former Skye Camanachd player, manager and President excelled by taking in no fewer than four matches on Saturday 5 April 2014. His first stop was Blairbeg for the noon Orion Group Premiership match between Glenurquhart and Newtonmore which the visitors won 4-1. He then headed off to Balgate to watch the 1pm Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup throw up between Lovat and Lewis Camanachd – with Lovat winning 7-1. A quick trip down the road to watch Beauly and Fort William in Marine Harvest National Division action at 2.30pm followed with the Fort triumphing 4-1. John Angus ended his day back at Balgate to see the 4pm throw up as Lovat beat Kinlochshiel 4-2 in the Orion Group Premiership. We hope that after four games and twenty four goals, he enjoyed a wee refreshment when he eventually made it home to Kyleakin. |
