Scotland & Ireland Meet In 2016 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling / Camogie Internationals ………… 2 Days To Go! | |
20 October 2016 Ireland senior manager Jeffrey Lynskey and his assistant Gregory O’Kane have made late but significant changes to their squad ahead of the 2016 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling international against Scotland at the Bught Park on Saturday 22 October 2016. Tipperary brothers John McGrath and Noel McGrath will not make the trip nor will Mayo’s Cathal Freeman. The visitors will not be weakened though as they have called up Clare pair Cian Dillon and David Reidy. Cian Dillon was part of the Clare squad which lifted the 2013 All Ireland title. He is current joint-captain at Clare and was previously Clare Hurler of the Year. David Reidy is a highly rated youngster who joined the Clare panel in 2014. There are also changes at Ireland U21 level as Wexford's Conor McDonald, Carlow’s James Doyle and Meath’s Sean Quigley are replaced by Tipperary’s Andrew Coffey, Wexford’s Simon Donohoe and Carlow’s Dion Wall.
