Portree Face Kyles In 2013 MacKay Cup Final | |
21 June 2013 Portree Primary School will face Kyles in the 2013 MacKay Cup Final at An Aird on Saturday 22 June 2013. Portree put in a fine performance to beat Kingussie 3-0 in their semi final tie at Spean Bridge with the team being tight in defence and more clinical in attack than their opponents. Portree Primary School coach David Pringle will be without influential player Mark MacQueen who broke his hand at practice last Saturday but even without him in the side, the team beat Kingussie in the semi-finals. Portree keeper Murphy Henderson is a concern as he went over his ankle but he will be given every chance play. Pringle will be looking for the team to play to their potential and if they do, they will be hard to beat. Kyles are coached by Kyles Athletic stalwart Dan MacRae and they will provide stiff opposition, having beaten Rockfield 12-0 in the semi finals and they also put 17 goals past Rockfield in the quarter finals. The 2013 MacKay Cup Final against Tighnabruaich is a noon throw up at An Aird, Fort William and John MacLeod is the match referee. |
