The Marine Harvest Premiership match between Oban Camanachd and Glenurquhart at Mossfield on Saturday 10 October 2015 will double up as the 2015 Mod Cup contest.
The Mod Cup is contested between the two teams based nearest to the Annual Royal National Mod and was first competed for in 1969 when Newtonmore lifted the trophy thanks to a 5-2 win over Kingussie at Aviemore.
The Cup is presented by the Aviemore branch of An Comunn Gaidhealach as part of the week-long Mod as a celebration of shinty's links with Gaelic.
Boleskine are the current holders and the Mod Cup was played for in Oban in 2009 when Lochside Rovers beat Oban Celtic at Mossfield.
Oban Camanachd last lifted the trophy in 2003 with Glenurquhart’s only success coming in 1977.
The Cup also provides many smaller teams with an opportunity to win national silverware.
