26 January 2018 Oban Camanachd and Lochside Rovers have announced their captains for the 2018 shinty season. Oban Camanachd manager Iain Hay has confirmed that Daniel Cameron will be the club’s first team captain for the new term. Scottish international Daniel Cameron will be a popular choice and the versatile player is sure to be key to Oban Camanachd’s chances of success this season. He takes over the captain duties from Garry Lord. Craig Easton is Lochside Rovers manager Gareth Evans’ choice as skipper for the new term. Easton has just moved out of the Oban Camanachd U17 squad and he was a regular in the Lochside side which won the Marine Harvest South Division 1 and Aberdein Considine Cup double last season. Fellow youngsters Lewis Buchanan and Cameron Sutherland will be the Lochside Rovers vice-captains and all three youngsters could feature for the Oban Camanachd senior side during the coming season. |
