26 September 2016 The senior meeting between the North and the South was a much closer affair with the North eventually running out 3-2 winners at Mossfield on Sunday 25 September 2016. Skye’s Robbie Gordon looked after the North side with former Lochcarron boss and current Camanachd Association referee Ross Brown taking charge of the South. The sides were level at two goals apiece early in the second half. Skye’s Lorna MacRae and Lovat’s Laura Gallagher, who captained the North, got the North goals whilst Aberdour pair Katy Smith and Niamh Donnelly netting for the South. A second goal from Lorna MacRae with only 6 minutes remaining had the North 3-2 in front and they saw out the closing stages to retain the trophy.
