Newtonmore v Skye Camanachd – Team News | |
13 May 2016 Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie Pringle has named his squad for the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup second round tie against the Newtonmore second team at the Eilan on Saturday 14 May 2016. Skye boss Davie Pringle makes two changes to the squad which beat the Fort William second team in Marine Harvest North Division 1 last weekend. Chris Rose and Aonghas MacDonald will be with the Skye first team squad so Chris MacLennan and Thomas Wilson – both back from hand injuries – come into the squad in their place. Newtonmore boss Cammy MacDonald had Kenny Ross back in his squad for the derby win over the Kingussie reserves last weekend after a couple of matches with the first team. John MacKenzie is free to play for the home side but he will miss the following weekend’s league encounter with the Kinlochshiel seconds as his booking against the Kingussie reserves a week earlier means he passes through the disciplinary points threshold. ‘More had a first round bye in this national tournament and Iain Robinson could well feature against Skye as he is eligible to play in this competition as he is still an U17-aged player. Newtonmore were 5-3 winners when they played Skye in the league at the Eilan at the beginning of April. The winners will be away to the Kinlochshiel second team in the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup quarter finals on Saturday 28 May 2016. In a change of referee, Neil Ferguson takes over from Calum Girvan as the match official. Throw up is at 3.30pm Skye Camanachd from: Iain MacLeod, David Grant (captain), John Angus MacInnes, Andrew Banks, Calum Gibb, DJ Gilpin, Ross Nicolson, Connor Gilpin, Ruaraidh MacLeod, Ally “Spod” MacLeod, Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod, James Pringle, Iain MacLellan, Chris MacLennan, Thomas Wilson Match Referee – Neil Ferguson |
