08 June 2016 Skye Camanachd U14 are through to the MacMaster Cusp semi-finals after they beat Newtonmore U14 7-0 at the Eilan on Friday 3 June 2016. Youth Coach Willie MacDonald was without Jamie MacKay for this MacMaster Cup quarter-final tie so Portree Primary School player Taylor Matheson was added to the squad. Skye got off to a great start in this 5.30pm throw up when Dan MacDonald put them ahead after just 2 minutes. Ross Gordon made it 2-0 on 16 minutes and further strikes form MacDonald on 20 minutes and Gordon just 60 seconds later had Skye 4-0 ahead. Dan MacDonald completed his hat-trick on 27 minutes and he took his first half tally to four goals on the half-hour mark, giving Skye a 6-0 lead at the break. Skye made changes in the second half and only added one more goal with Abby MacLean scoring on 62 minutes. Skye will now play Fort William U14, who beat Glenurquhart U14 in their last-eight tie, in the MacMaster Cup semi-finals on Friday 29 August 2016.
