Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling International – Scotland v Ireland …………. 6 Day To Go! | |
27 October 2013 Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeil says that it is all to play for in the Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling International second test as his side trail 3-1 in the series after Ireland’s 24-18 win over the Scots at Croke Park on Saturday 26 October 2013. Speaking after the first test defeat, McNeil said, “I felt it was as good a performance from us - as good as we’ve had for a long time. “I am still frustrated because the Irish are always able to get their arms across us. We lost some soft and costly goals and we had a poor spell just before half-time when they were able to score too many points. “In saying that, we dominated for some spells and we played a lot of good shinty today which was really pleasing. There was some really nice stuff out there. “That will be the key for us again next weekend and there is still an awful lot to play for at Bught Park.” Series Details The second test between Scotland and Ireland takes place at the Bught Park, Inverness. Throw-in is at 2pm and the match will be televised live by BBC2 Scotland and TG4. The second test will be preceded by the Shinty / Camogie meeting between Scotland and Dublin and the U21 Shinty / Hurling meeting between the two countries. Picture courtesy of www.neilgpaterson.com |
