Lochaber U17 4 Skye Camanachd U17 1 - UPDATED! | |
25 April 2013 The Skye Camanachd U17s opened their London Shield campaign with a 4-1 defeat to Lochaber U17 at Spean Bridge on Tuesday 23 April 2013. Skye Youth Coach Davie MacVicar was without Calum MacInnes for the meeting with a Lochaber side who have enjoyed success at U17 level in recent years. Skye found themselves two goals down with just 21 first half minutes played. Andrew Grant pulled a goal back for Skye on 29 minutes. However Lochaber restored their two-goal advantage with a strike 5 minutes before the break. Skye tried to get back in the game but despite creating several chances, they were unable to find the back of the nest. It was Lochaber who added a fourth goal on 74 minutes. The Lochaber scorers were Stuart Matheson with a brace and Finlay MacDonald and Barry MacDonald. This was a disappointing performance from Skye with only Will Cowie getting pass marks. The Islanders will need to raise their game if they are to go further in this competition. Skye Camanachd U17 from; |
