John MacRitchie Is New Lovat Boss | |
26 January 2015 John MacRitchie has been named as the new manager of the Lovat first team. MacRitchie takes over from Allan MacRae who ended his three year tenure in charge when he resigned last weekend. The move was confirmed at a Lovat committee meeting on Monday 26 January 2015 and MacRitchie’s first match in charge will be a friendly meeting with Inverness at the Bught on Saturday 31 January 2015 followed by a trip to Pairc nan Laoch, Portree to play Skye Camanachd on Saturday 7 February 2015. John MacRitchie and James Gallacher co-managed Lovat to the Marine Harvest North Division 1 title in 2007 and 2009 and they gave debuts to many of the players in the current squad. They stood down at the end of the 2010 season when Allan MacRae took over. Overall, MacRitchie’s involvement with the Lovat senior side lasted seven years. John MacRitchie will also continue in his role as Lovat Chairman. |
