The Gregor Cameron Consultancy Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Final between Oban Camanachd and Kyles Athletic takes place at the Taynuilt Sports Field on Saturday 27 June 2015.
A Fraser Inglis inspired Oban Camanachd last won the all-South competition in 2005 when they beat Bute in the final. This was a year after experimental rules were introduced to the tournament.
Holders Kyles Athletic beat Inveraray 6-2 in last year’s final with captain Thomas Whyte grabbing a hat-trick. They also lifted the trophy a year earlier. This time it was a much closer affair as they edged out Inveraray on penalties with Donald Irvine’s sudden death spot-hit taking the trophy to Tighnabruaich.
The year’s final will be played on Taynuilt’s impressive Sports Field and the revamped facility also hosted the 2014 Balliemore Cup Final in which Skye Camanachd beat Ballachulish.
