Glenurquhart Announce New Management Team | |
10 December 2013 Glenurquhart have announced their new management team ahead of the start of the 2014 shinty season. David Menzies and Billy MacLean will co-manage the team, replacing Drew McNeil who stood down ahead of the club’s recent AGM. McNeil had co-managed the side with Fraser MacKenzie during the 2012 and 2013 shinty seasons, with MacKenzie stepping aside towards the end of the 2013 term. The move is a return to first team management for Menzies and MacLean who were in charge at Blairbeg prior to Jim Barr's two year stint in the hot-seat in 2010 and 2011. Iain MacLeod remains in charge of the Glenurquhart second team. Club Chairman Russell Fraser felt that it was imperative to have experienced management teams in place ahead of the new league structure for the 2014 shinty season.
