09 August 2021 The Fort William second team beat the Skye Camanachd second team 4-1 after extra-time at An Aird on Saturday 7 August 2021. With several players unavailable, Skye player / manager Allan MacLeod added Somhairle MacDonald, Ally “Spod” MacLeod, Taylor Matheson and Iain Murray to the squad which lost to the Kinlochshiel seconds in the HIS Sutherland Cup second round the previous weekend. Fort William were on a good run of form and were always going to be difficult opponents in this 2.30pm throw up. Somhairle MacDonald put Skye ahead after 13 minutes but Mark Fraser levelled 5 minutes before half-time. With no further scoring, referee Des McNulty took the tie into an extra-time period. Graham Campbell put the Fort in front for the first time on 110 minutes and with Skye pushing for an equaliser, Mark Fraser scored twice more on 117 and 118 minutes to seal the host’s place in the next round.
