The Camanachd Association has confirmed that clubs will no longer be allowed to request a fixture postponement when three or more of their players have tested positive for Covid-19.
In a communication to clubs, the association confirmed that these requests, allowed under Byelaw, 3.2.5, will no longer be permissible from Monday 1 August 2022.
The association advised that: “Following a recommendation to the Board of Directors from the Competitions Committee, Byelaw 3.2.5 which was introduced prior to the start of the season, will be removed as from Monday 1 August 2022. This Byelaw allowed clubs to request a postponement of a fixture when three or more of their players had tested positive for Covid-19.
“This decision has been made to ensure that the competitions, both cup and league, are completed on time.”
