Emma Gordon Named 2015 Skye Camanachd Ladies Player of the Year | |
09 December 2015 Emma Gordon was named the 2015 Skye Camanachd Ladies Player of the Year at the club’s Annual Dinner Dance at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 21 November 2015. Emma Gordon, who was also confirmed on the night as Skye Camanachd Ladies Players’ Player of the Year, received a number of accolades during 2015. As well as being a key player for the Skye Ladies, she represented the North senior side in their win over the South despite being only 15 years old. The progression continued as Gordon also forced herself into the Scotland senior squad, making her debut in the annual Shinty / Camogie meeting – this year against Co. Kildare at the Bught Park. She is the youngest player to represent Scotland at senior level. Emma Gordon rounded off a memorable year by being named 2015 WCA National Division 1 Player of the Year at the Marine Harvest Awards at the Drumossie Hotel, Inverness on Friday 23 October 2015.
