Camanachd Association Advertise For New Chief Executive Officer | |
26 September 2016 The Camanachd Association has advertised for a new Chief Executive Officer. The new incumbent will replace Chief Operating Officer Torquil MacLeod, who earlier announced his departure to take up a management role with Visit Scotland in Edinburgh. MacLeod will remain in post until after the Camanachd Association Annual General Meeting which takes place in November 2016. The Camanachd Association Chief Executive Officer post is based in Inverness and attracts a salary of £35,000. The interviews will take place in late October 2016 so an appointment can be made ahead of MacLeod’s departure. The Camanachd Association was established in 1893 and is now a not for profit limited company based in Inverness with eight full-time staff. The overall aim of the Camanachd Association is to: foster, encourage, promote and develop the sport of shinty. Camanachd Association Directors wish to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation and develop the sport in Scotland. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a high level of integrity and a proven track record in management, administration, finance, sponsorship/fundraising, marketing and communication. The role is based at the Association’s Head Office in Inverness and will be responsible to the President and Board of Directors for ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.
