Skye Youth Coach John MacLeod fielded a strong squad for this 6.30pm throw up. Caberfeidh keeper Rory Owen has to look smart to turn the ball round the post in the opening minute. Skye defender Marcus Ross strode forward on 6 minutes and his long-range effort went wide Martin Pringle had a shot well saved by keeper Owen on 13 minutes and the goalie denied Ruaraidh MacLeod moments later. Skye went in front on 17 minutes when a 25 yard shot from Conor Gilpin sailed into the net to make it 1-0. Skye went further in front on 21 minutes when Ruaraidh MacLeod reacted first after keeper Owen had saved. Ruaraidh MacLeod got his second to make it 3-0 on 27 minutes with a great solo goal as he dribbled through the Cabers defence before finishing well. Ryan Macaskill went close on 32 minutes when his shot went wide of the upright. Anna MacDonald was introduced into the Skye forward line a minutes later in place of Stewart Taylor and Skye took their 3-0 advantage into the break. Martin Pringle finishes well from 10 yards a couple of minutes after the restart to make it 4-0. Ruaraidh MacLeod completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0 with a shot from close range on 43 minutes. An Angus MacDonald shot went wide on 46 minutes. Stewart Taylor returned to the field of play in attack on 50 minutes with Ryan Macaskill coming off and Taylor shot wide a couple of minutes later. Skye went 6-0 ahead on 56 minutes when a low Angus MacDonald shot from 15 yards found the corner of the net. A minute later, Skye made changes as Mark MacQueen replaced Martin Pringle and Emma Gordon took over from Ross Nicolson. Mark MacQueen finished well from close range on 59 minutes to make it 7-0 and round off a good evening for the Islanders. This was a comfortable win for Skye. Their top performers were John Gillies, Marcus Ross and Conor Gilpin whilst Anna MacDonald's introduction to the forward line caused problems for Caberfeidh defence.
