22 June 2015 Beauly added to their MacTavish Juvenile Cup success with a good day at the Artemis Macaulay Sixes at Mossfield on Saturday 14 June 2015. The Beauly U17s had defeated Skye Camanachd U17 2-0 earlier in the day to lift the MacTavish Juvenile Cup at the Bught Park. Beauly beat Ballachulish 3-0 in the semi-finals with Lochaber beating Inverlochy 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw. In Oban, Beauly won the Iain Cumming Memorial Trophy for P7 and under shinty teams, defeating Lochaber 3-2 after extra time in a keenly contested final. Lochaber picked up the Oban Celtic Shield. The Alastair Campbell Shield for P5 and under was won by Beauly & Ord who beat Taynuilt 2-0 in the final. The new Macaulay Development Cup (formerly the Peter English Cup) was presented to Dunadd for showing the best endeavor on the day. The best boy player of the tournament was Max Campbell from Lochaber who won the Hector Campbell Award. Leah Maxtone from Inverlochy won the Lochcarron Quaich for best girl player of the tournament. A total 22 teams took part and Bute councillor Roddy McCuish presented the prizes. |
