Badenoch & Strathspey Ladies 1 Skye Camanachd Ladies 6 | |
24 June 2016 The Skye Camanachd Ladies are through to the 2016 Valerie Fraser Cup Final after they beat Badenoch & Strathspey 5-1 in their semi-final tie at the Bught Park on Sunday 19 June 2016. The sides had already met twice in the league this season – with Skye winning at the Dell and Badenoch & Strathspey coming out on top at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree. A goal from Caitlin MacLean on 17 minutes put Skye ahead in this 3pm throw up. Jenna Beaton made it 2-0 on 24 minutes and she added a third on 40 minutes. Janette MacGregor pulled a goal back for Badenoch & Strathspey on 47 minutes. However it was Skye’s day and Jenna Beaton on 56 minutes and Lorna MacRae on 72 minutes rounded off the 5-1 triumph. Lochaber will be Skye’s opponents in the Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup Final after they eased past Aberdour with a 6-0 win in their 1pm throw up on the Bught Park main pitch. Kirsty Delaney starred for Lochaber with an impressive five-goal haul whilst her sister, Claire Delaney, got the other.
