Ally Ferguson Back In Charge At Lochaber | |
16 November 2014 Lochaber confirmed that Ally Ferguson will return as first team manager at their Annual General Meeting on Friday 14 November 2014. The club were on the look-out for a new manager after Robert Johnstone stepped down at the end of last season. Johnstone saved the club from relegation when he took over during the 2012 season but he was unable to prevent them finishing bottom of the Orion Group Premiership at the end of the 2014 shinty season. However with a league restructure looking likely, and the possibility of an increased top division, Lochaber’s top flight status may yet be retained. Former Scotland boss Ferguson has had a previous stint in charge at Spean Bridge and he has guided the Lochaber reserves over the last couple of seasons. He also assisted Scotland Head Coach Ronald Ross in the recent Shinty / Hurling international series with Ireland. John Fraser succeeds Ally Ferguson as Lochaber second team manager. |
