Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Eligibility Rules | |
03 April 2014 The Camanachd Association has issued a reminder to clubs in advance of the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup first round ties on Saturday 5 April 2014. The Association has highlighted Byelaw 3.10.c which confirms eligibility of players to participate in the competition. Each two team club has submitted a list of ten recognised first team players (Player Pool) who are not eligible to play in any National Reserve Cup Competition - Sutherland Cup, Strathdearn Cup & Bullough Cup. Any two of the ten players named in the Player Pool can feature in a reserve league fixture. There is no restriction on how many times a Player Pool player can feature in league fixtures for the reserve team over the course of the season. The latest club Player Pool can be found on the Camanachd Association website and anyone who wishes to enquire whether a player is eligible should contact Camanachd Association Operations Manager Astie Cameron. In addition, a player is ineligible to play in the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup if they have played five or more first team matches. However a player aged U17 on 1 January of the year of competition will be exempt from this rule. |
