2018 Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Second Round Draw | |
14 May 2018 The second round draw for the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup was made in Newtonmore on Monday 14 May 2018. Remarkably, the ten Premiership teams, who enter the competition at this stage, were all kept apart from the six sides from out-with shinty’s top flight. Holders Newtonmore are favourites to progress against Lochaber at Spean Bridge. Last year’s runners up Lovat head for Skye where they have already won twice this season. The tie of the round is between Kinlochshiel and Oban Camanachd at Kirkton. ‘Shiel, yet to lose this term, were eliminated by the Oban side at the same stage last year. Kyles Athletic journey north to face Glenurquhart whilst there is little to choose between Caberfeidh and Kingussie at Castle Leod. Bute, the only team in contention from out-with the top divisions, welcome Beauly to Rothesay. Two all-National Division clashes see Inveraray host Kilmallie whilst Fort William and Oban Celtic, who play in the league this Saturday, meet at An Aird. The draw in full is: Fort William v Oban Celtic Caberfeidh v Kingussie Skye Camanachd v Lovat Glenurquhart v Kyles Athletic Lochaber v Newtonmore Bute v Beauly Inveraray v Kilmallie Kinlochshiel v Oban Camanachd The ties take place on Saturday 2 June. |
