The 2016 Balliemore Cup Final between Kilmallie and Caberfeidh takes place at Blairbeg on Saturday 16 July 2016.
The Balliemore Cup was first played for as an Intermediate Championship in 1985 and Kilmallie have won it on two occasions – 1992 and 1993. Kilmallie’s last appearance in the final came in 2008 when they lost 3-1 to Skye Camanachd at Braeview Park.
Caberfeidh have since enjoyed great success in the Balliemore Cup, winning it on five occasions - 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000. However it is sixteen years since they last won it although they were last in the final in 2011 when they lost 2-1 to Bute at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree.
Kilmallie and Caberfeidh have met twice before in the Balliemore Cup Final – in 1995 and 1997 – and Cabers won on both occasions.
