19 May 2016 Skye Camanachd and Kinlochshiel will contest the 2015 Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup when they meet on Marine Harvest Premiership duty at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 21 May 2016. The Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup is an invitational match played in the memory of former Skye Camanachd player Thomas Ferguson who died in a road accident in 1971. His death is one of a number of tragic deaths which have hit Skye Camanachd in recent years. Others include, Angus Murchison, John Matheson, Iain Nicolson, George Michie, Jock MacFarlane and Peter Murchison. The Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup was first played for in 1972 when the legendary Newtonmore side of the time won the trophy. The trophy has been played for 43 times Skye Camanachd has won it 23 times. The previous winners are set out below;
