There will be live coverage of a number of shinty matches on both BBC ALBA and BBC 2 Scotland throughout the 2015 shinty season.
BBC ALBA’s summer shinty coverage begins with live coverage of the RBS MacTavish Cup Final between Newtonmore and Glenurquhart from the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 13 June 2015. Coverage starts at 4pm whilst throw up is at 4.05pm.
Next up will be the Gregor Cameron Consultancy Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Final between Oban Camanachd and Kyles Athletic at the Taynuilt Playing Field on Saturday 27 June 2015. Again, coverage begins at 4pm with throw up at 4.05pm.
There will be Marine Harvest Premiership live action on Saturday 31 July 2015 with coverage of the derby match between Kingussie and Newtonmore from the Dell. This game throws up at 6pm.
BBC ALBA will also provide live coverage of both semi-finals of the SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup. The ties will be played on Saturday 8 August 2015 and Saturday 15 August 2015. The venues and throw up ties are still to be confirmed.
The SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final from Mossfield on Saturday 19 September 2015 will be shown live on BBC 2 Scotland.
It is also expected that BBC 2 Scotland will cover Scotland’s home Shinty / Hurling international against Ireland with delayed coverage of the second test expected on BBC ALBA.
