2013 Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Second Round Draw - UPDATED! | |
06 May 2013 The draw for the second round of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup was made in Fort William on Monday 6 May 2013. The draw was made by Provost of Lochaber, Allan Henderson and Camanachd Association President, Archie Robertson. The tie of the round is a repeat of the 2012 final as Kyles Athletic host Inveraray. Kyles were 6-5 winners in last year’s final at Mossfield but it is Inveraray who have made the better start to this season. There are two other all-Orion Group Premiership ties as Kingussie host Lovat at the Dell and Lochaber welcome Glenurquhart to Spean Bridge. There is an intriguing west coast derby at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree where Skye Camanachd meet 2012 semi-finalists Kinlochshiel. The winners of this weekend’s tie between Beauly and Strathglass will have home advantage against Oban Camanachd. 2011 winners Newtonmore have been given a home tie against Marine Harvest South Division 1 side Strachur. Kilmallie and Glasgow Mid Argyll are still to meet and the winners will travel to An Aird, which also hosts this year’s final, to play Fort William. The other outstanding first round tie sees Caberfeidh play Oban Celtic with the prize a home meeting with Glenorchy.
