18 September 2011 Milngavie & Bearsden U14 won the 2011 Scottish Hydro Development Trophy with a 3-0 win over Lochcarron U14 in the final at the Bught Park (back pitch), Inverness on Saturday 17 September 2011. The opening stages remained scoreless until Scott Anderson, younger brother of Scotland U17 and Glasgow Mid Argyll forward Craig Anderson, fired Milngavie & Bearsden into a 25 minute lead with the only goal of the first half. Manager Neil McLay's son Calum McLay made it 2-0 on 39 minutes. Aidan McMahon sealed the win with a 55 minute strike as Milngavie & Bearsden won the trophy for the second time in three years. Lochcarron, coached by senior player David MacCuish, competed well throughout the game with Robin Smith in defence a stand-out.
