Murchison Enjoying Good Cup Run. | |
03 June 2011 Skye Camanachd forward Jordan Murchison is enjoying the team’s progress in both the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup and Strathdearn Cup. Speaking to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after his side’s 8-3 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup win over Lovat, Murchison said, “We’re glad to get the victory from what was a difficult tie. We got ourselves a two goal lead in the first half and Davie and Murdo told us at half time to keep it going and to keep pressing Lovat. We hit them hard at the second half and got ourselves further ahead. It’s great to have a semi final to look forward to but Kingussie always put out good sides.” Murchison was modest about his own four goal haul and his general contribution to the victory which was praised by manager Davie MacVicar. “It’s all about the team,” said the youngster. “We are on a couple of good cup runs at the moment and we’d like to keep it going.” |
