A last minute goal from Andrew Grant secured Skye Camanachd U14 a third consecutive North Division 1 title following their 1-1 draw with Fort William U14 at An Aird on Saturday 20 November 2010.
The Skye youngsters travelled to An Aird in the knowledge that the league title would be theirs if they avoided defeat.
They faced a Fort William side who performed much better than they did when they lost 4-0 to the Islanders in Portree earlier in the season,
The early exchanges were even with Skye starting strongly but Fort William ending the first half on the offensive.
Fort William took the lead 12 minutes into the second half and although Skye had the ball in the net 10 minutes later, the goal was ruled out by referee Deek Cameron.
A Fort William win would have left the sides level on points and facing a play-off on a neutral venue to decide the title.
However with just 60 seconds remaining, a 20 yard drive from Andrew Grant crept into the net to give Skye the point they required to clinch the North Division 1 title for the third year in a row.
Camanachd Association Competitions Director Richard Gall presented the trophy to Skye captain Ruairidh Morrison and he handed out winners medals to his delighted team-mates.
