Lochcarron Boss Steps Down | |
02 June 2011 Lochcarron boss Murdo John Fraser has stepped down following a short spell in charge of the Marine Harvest North Division 1 side. Fraser took over the Battery Park first team during the 2010 shinty season but he has been forced to step down after securing a new job which takes him away from home. Kenny Ross will stand in until the Lochcarron committee appoint a new manager. Ross will prepare the side for a second round Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup meeting with Kilmallie this weekend. Visitors Kilmallie paid tribute to Fraser with boss John Morrison quoted in this week’s Oban Times as saying, “Murdo John Fraser made a big impression up there; he really turned them around last season. But there are a lot of big players at Lochcarron and they are a very tight knit squad. It might even make things harder for us if they feel they have a point to prove.” |
