Newtonmore Boss Cammy MacDonald Glad To Win Close Game. | |
26 April 2011 Newtonmore manager Cammy MacDonald was glad to see his side win 4-3 in a close game against Skye Camanachd in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 23 April 2011. “It was a good game and very close,” said MacDonald when he spoke to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after the game. “That was two young teams on show today. We kept getting our noses in front but Skye kept coming back at us time and time again. They were very dogged and we knew it would be tough here; it always is.” MacDonald also had praise for hat-trick hero Callum Stewart, “Callum started off his shinty career as a defender and then moved into midfield. He keeps telling us that he forward and with hat-tricks in the last two games, he might have a point.” The sides are due to meet in the league again at the Eilan this weekend. |
