MacDonald Not Too Disappointed With Skye Defeat. | |
17 April 2011 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was not too disappointed with his side’s 3-1 defeat to Lochaber in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 16 April 2011. Speaking to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after the game, MacDonald said, “I’m not too disappointed to be honest. It’s always disappointing to lose but the boys we had available on the day did well and, as you know, we had a lot of guys missing,” “It wasn’t a bad performance from us although we could have done better at times. No one gets an easy game against Lochaber. They are a big physical side and that is part of their game.” Some of our younger guys did very well. Shaun (Hedley), Beans (Neil MacVicar) and Jordie (Murchison) were great and in an ideal world, given their age, they would be allowed to build their experience playing second team shinty but they are doing a grand job in what are difficult times.” Next up for Skye is a Marine Harvest North Division 1 local derby against Lochcarron at Battery Park on Saturday 23 April 2011. |
