14 March 2011 There will be Emergency Life Support and Defibrillator training at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Thursday 17 March 2011. Emergency Life Support (ELS) is the set of actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives. It includes performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), dealing with choking, serious bleeding and helping someone who may be having a heart attack. This ELS and Defibrillator training is a true life skill and only lasts for around 2 hours and will be delivered by the Skye Heartstart Team. Anyone interested in attending should contact Ross Cowie on 07884298079. Also, anyone who attended a previous training course is encouraged to attend as a form of refresher. The ELS and Defibrillator training starts at 7pm. |
