09 February 2011 Caitlin Maclean was named Skye Camanachd U14 B Most Improved Player of the Year for the 2010 shinty season at the club’s Annual Dinner Dance at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 5 February 2011. Caitlin MacLean has turned in some impressive performances for the Skye Camanachd U14 B team which won the Scottish Hydro Development Trophy at the 2010 Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final. She was also named player of the tournament at the 2010 U13 Plockton Sixes where she competed as part of the Portree High School team. Caitlin also plays for the Portree High School Girls team and will be part of the Skye Camanachd Women’s squad which enters WCA North Division 2 for the first time this season. Her uncle John Maclean also played for Skye Camanachd whilst another uncle, Caley MacLean, lifted the 1990 Camanachd Cup for the Islanders. |
