Scots Enjoy Double University Success. | |
30 January 2011 The Scotland Universities enjoyed double success in the Shinty / Hurling and Shinty / Camogie internationals against the British Hurlers and Camogie sides in Newcastle on Saturday 29 January 2011. The Scotland University men’s side beat the British Hurlers 17-7 with Skye Camanachd’s Alan Palmer, who was vice captain, getting one of the goals. Skye Camanachd’s Kerr Gibb played well in midfield as did Caberfeidh’s Ewan Murray who captained the side. The Scotland University women’s team were convincing 16-0 winners against the British Camogie team. An evening reception hosted by the GAA at Sunderland Football Club’s ground took place after the game.
