1990 Relived At The Skye Camanachd Clubhouse! | |
26 November 2010 There is a chance to take a trip down memory lane at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 27 November when the 1990 Camanachd Cup Final between Skye Camanachd and Newtonmore is shown on the big screen. The final at An Aird drew a huge crowd in excess of 6,000 supporters and promted the famous cartoon from Chris in the West Highland Free Press which read, “Will the last person to leave (Skye) please switch off the lights.” Without wanting to spoil the DVD showing off the final, Skye beat Newtonmore 4-1 thanks to doubles from John MacRae and Willie Cowie. There will also be showings of some eposides of the "Home" serious made by Producer Douglas MacKinnon who is from Portree. Throw up is at 3pm and all are welcome. |
