17 November 2010 The Camanachd Association has announced that two of their current Directors will contest the position of Camanachd Association President-elect following the nomination process. Board member Archie Roberson, who is Director without Portfolio, and fellow Board member Donald Stewart, who is Camanachd Association Vice-Chair and Director of Communications, will now be subject to a postal vote of the voting membership. The candidates will make their pitch to the voting membership in a bid to win their support in the contest to take over from current President Duncan Cameron who completes his term in office at the Camanachd Association AGM on Friday 29 April 2011. The voting membership will make their nomination by postal vote and the outcome of the ballot will be announced on Tuesday 7 December 2010. The President-elect will shadow the President during the months leading up to the AGM, allowing him to become familiar with the role prior to a 3 year term in office. |
