Ireland v Scotland………….3 Days To Go. | |
27 October 2010 Gary Innes & Ronald Ross To Captain Scots. Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeil has named Gary Innes and Ronald Ross as his team captains for the forth-coming double header against Ireland. Fort William’s Gary Innes, who captained the Scots against the Irish last year, will lead the team out at Croke Park, Dublin. Kingussie’s Ronald Ross will be vice-captain in Dublin and he will captain the side for return match in Inverness in a fortnights time. Both Innes and Ross are probably the most high profile names in shinty at the moment and they have the respect of all their team mates. Drew McNeil, said, “I have been involved in the Internationals for many years now, as a player and as part of the coaching team, but, as Head Coach, I am especially looking forward to this year’s encounters. We were victorious in Kilkenny in 2008 and lost out narrowly in 2009, so we are desperate to return to winning ways and I believe we have the squad to do so.” |
