Honours Even In University Clash. | |
23 October 2010 It was honours even for Skye Camanachd players Alan Palmer and Kerr Gibb following the University match between Strathclyde University and Glasgow University at Yoker on Saturday 23 October 2010. The Skye Camanachd first team duo clashed when Palmer played for Strathclyde whilst Gibb lined up for Glasgow. Glasgow had won their opening University League match against Edinburgh whilst this was Strathclyde’s first league fixture. The match was scoreless at the interval but Elliot Moir netted for Strathclyde straight after the break. However Glasgow fought back to take the lead through an Innes MacMillan goal and a tremendous 30 yard strike from Kerr Gibb. Strathclyde fought back though and a fantastic long range effort from Alan Palmer 10 minutes from time secured a point a piece and a 2-2 draw. The Glasgow womens team was too strong for their opponents, beating Strathclyde 6-1 at the same venue. |
