Skye Camanachd Trio Named In North U14 Squad. | |
18 September 2010 Skye Camanachd trio Iain MacLeod, Ruaraidh Morrison and Will Cowie have been named in the North U14 to play the South U14 at the Dell, Kingussie on Sunday 3 October 2010. The players have been key to Skye Camanachd U14’s good start to the season and their team mate Mark Mortimer is on the stand-by list. Iain MacLeod has been playing in goal for the U14 side and the U17 side this season and has turned in some good displays between the sticks. Ruaraidh Morrison is the Skye Camanachd U14 captain and he has been very effective at full back this season. He has been hampered by a long standing knee problem but he should be fit for this one. Will Cowie is another exciting talent who has also established himself in the U17 side and made his second team debut against Lovat a fortnight ago. He has 3 MacKay Cup winning medals from his time at Portree Primary School. Mark Mortimer’s athletic performances at full centre have made him key player in the U14 side and he too is an U17 regular at wing back. The annual North U14 v South U14 match for the Fraser MacPhee Memorial Trophy takes place at the Dell on Sunday 3 October 2010. |
