Skye Camanachd Players Attend Scottish Hydro National Player Development Camp. | |
14 July 2010 Skye Camanachd have several U17 players attending the 2010 Scottish Hydro National Player Development Camp this week. Skye Camanachd sent 9 players to the 2009 Camp – more than any other club. This year the club also made more that the prescribed 5 nominations and they had 6 players accepted for the 5 day event. This year’s Camp takes place at Strathallan School, Perth from Sunday 11 July 2010 until Thursday 15 July 2010. The Skye Camanachd players involved are Iain Grant, Jordan Murchison, Daniel Morrison, Ally MacLeod, Chris MacLennan and Calum Gibb. Martin Bruce Shaun Hedley and Scott MacLeod were unable to attend because of work commitments, Magnus Burd is injured and John Gillies is on holiday. Ronald Ross, Camanachd Association Highland Development Officer, said, “Kilgraston School, where the camp is normally held is unfortunately unavailable to us this year. However we are all very much looking forward to sampling the excellent facilities at Strathallan and putting the future stars of shinty through their paces.”
