MacDonald Disappointed By Derby Defeat. | |
27 June 2010 It was a very disappointed Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald who looked back on his side’s 1-0 Marine Harvest North Division 1 defeat to Lochcarron at Battery Park on Friday 25 June 2010. “It’s definitely a blow and 2 important points gone,” said MacDonald after the game. “We just didn’t get going tonight and we didn’t threaten the Lochcarron goal enough.” MacDonald refused to blame injuries and player unavailability for the defeat with Jamie MacDonald, Shockie MacLennan, Alan Palmer, Iain Nicolson and John Moir all missing out. Steven Morrison and AB Connor also picked up injuries during the game. Indeed Skye finished the Lochcarron match with Allan MacLeod as the only recognized defender on the pitch. “We have to cope with injuries and player unavailability like any other team,” he said. With no Skye matches scheduled for next weekend, the Skye camp will be hoping that their injury list eases ahead of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup tie against Inveraray at the Winterton on Saturday 10 July 2010. |
