MacDonald Looks Forward To Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Second Round Draw. | |
25 April 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald is looking forward to Monday’s Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup second round draw following his side’s 6-1 win over Ballachulish on Saturday 24 April 2010.
Whilst content with victory in front of a large Pairc nan Laoch support, MacDonald said, “We were in and out of the game at certain stages. When we were in the game we did well but there is still a lot to work on. It was good to see the goals go in and the strikes by Allan MacKinnon and Alan Palmer were really good, well worked goals. However I was disappointed that we didn’t manage to keep a clean sheet.”
Skye were 5-0 up on the hour mark which allowed the introduction of young substitutes Neil MacVicar and Jordan Murchison. “It was good to give Neil MacVicar and Jordan Murchison a decent run out,” said MacDonald, “They did well and I’m sure we’ll see more of both players in the future.”
Reflecting on his team’s performance, the first team manager said, “I though Kenny Campbell played really well in the centre line as did forwards Alan Palmer and Allan MacKinnon. We slotted Shockie MacLennan in at buckshee back and I thought he also played really well and he looked very comfortable.”
Skye Camanachd now faces one of the stiffest tests possible as Camanachd Cup winners Fort William travel to Portree next weekend in the MacTavish Cup quarter finals. |
