MacDonald Satisfied With Skye Performance. | |
21 March 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was satisfied with his side’s performance in their 4-2 win over Beauly in Marine Harvest North Division 1 at Braeview Park on Saturday 20 March 2010.
Skye lost at Braeview Park last season and have found the venue to be a difficult place to come in recent seasons. They also had several absentees to contend with.
MacDonald refused to single out any single players, citing a fine all round team performance.
“Our forwards showed great movement and clicked really well as a unit. The centre line was also tight with Shockie MacLennan and Kerr Gibb putting in a power of work. AB Connor served us well in defence and Jamie Gannon provided his usual array of great saves when we needed him.”
MacDonald was also able to introduce 17 year old Stewart Grant for his first team debut. “Stewie did well. All young players coming into the side find the pace of the game to be quite different to second team shinty and it’s more physical too. However Stewie has now been blooded and he is a player that we know we can call on.” |
