The Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup is played in memory of Thomas Ferguson, a member of Skye Camanachd who was tragically killed in a road accident in 1971.
The Cup is played on an invitational basis each year and it first took place in 1972 when a strong Newtonmore side clinched the trophy with a 6-3 win at the King George V Playing Field, Portree.
Skye Camanachd play Glasgow Mid Argyll for the 2009 trophy on Saturday 20 February 2009 whist hosting Scottish Hydro Premier Division Champions Kingussie for the 2010 trophy on Saturday 27 February 2010.
