The shinty season comes to a close on Saturday 12 December 2009 as Oban Camanachd host Bute at Mossfield.
The Scottish Hydro Premier Division’s only outstanding issue will be resolved when Bute travel to Mossfield to play the league’s final match against Oban Camanachd.
Bute kept their survival hopes alive with a win over Inveraray last weekend and they now need to beat Oban Camanachd to relegate Lochaber. Any other result will mean that Bute go down.
Bute will take confidence from the fact that that they beat Oban in April. Oban Camanachd were league leaders going into the fixtures and they took the lead against with a Craig MacMillan strike after 25 minutes. Robert Ferguson equalised for Bute on 65 minutes and a Robert Walker goal 10 minutes from the end to give the Islanders their first points of the season which moved them off the bottom of the table.
Oban Camanachd have not played since they drew with Kingussie at Mossfield on 24 October 2009.
Lochaber have had a torturous few weeks as they have only been able to watch from the sidelines since they lost to Newtonmore 4 weeks ago.
