29 November 2009 Skye Camanachd full back David Grant topped the appearance list for the second team during the 2009 shinty season. Grant appeared in 18 of the side’s 20 competitive league and cup matches. The 2 matches he missed were the 4-2 defeat at Kingussie on the second day of the season and the 2-2 draw with Newtonmore at Portree in July. He was substituted once, in the heat against Lovat at Balgate. Fellow defender Martin Bruce is in second place on the appearance list, playing in 17 of the 20 competitive matches. Bruce missed the 8-0 home defeat to champions Glenurquhart, the 5-2 home defeat to Kingussie with a rib injury and the 5-3 defeat against Scott Martin and Danny Morrison were in equal third place, playing 15 games whilst Neil MacVicar joined Ian Morrison and Kieran Roberts on 14 games despite suffering a double fracture to his jaw earlier in the season. Jordan Murchison made the most substitute appearances, coming off the bench 9 times whilst Angie MacDonald was the most substituted player; he was withdrawn 6 times.
